Looks&PB: At 5’2’’, Aeterna is, in a word, short. She isn’t fat, but isn’t very skinny either, as the only exercise she gets is going on field outings or running out of harm’s way. Due to albinism, her complexion is extremely fair. She likes to keep her snowy, medium-length hair down, though she is often seen with small clips to keep the strays out of her face. She has soft pinkish eyes that are usually hidden by sunglasses or blinkers, to prevent her eyesight from worsening. Her entire wardrobe consists mostly of blues and whites, with the occasional violet, and she is never without her utility belt and pouch, which stores useful gems and restorative items. She is partial to wearing long, loose-fitting boots and cloaks.
Background: Born to a prestigious Sage father and Alchemist mother, Aeterna grew up in the magical city of Juno until the age of six. As a child, she often accompanied her father to his lectures at the Sage Academy, and liked bothering the mage trainees (who were on assignment in Juno) to teach her simple magic tricks during her free time. Though her father groomed her to follow in his footsteps and become a Sage, and though she had a passion for all things magical, Aeterna was adverse to the idea. As soon as she turned seven, her application was sent to the Mage School in Geffen and her schooling started.
She spent five years commuting from Juno to Geffen via airship every day to attend classes, and as her graduation neared, she screened her father’s outgoing mail until she finally found the application to the sage academy. When Aeterna’s father found out that she had switched the Sage Academy application with her own Wizard Academy application, he was furious, and before she knew it she was boarding in the Wizard Academy’s dormitories. Without the constant pressure of her father’s presence, she opened up a little more to everyone and everything around her, and felt completely free for the first time in her life.
Of course, with this new freedom also came the issue of funds. Even though her parents were still paying her school bills, Aeterna needed zeny for extra books and supplies. So, she worked odd jobs, sometimes for the military, sometimes for other guilds, mostly to collect things from monsters or accompany people through dangerous land. After four years at the Wizard Academy, Aeterna graduated (with a lot of help from her work experience) and became a full-fledged Wizard.
She’s currently employed by the Wizard Academy, but still works odd jobs, mostly in teams, and occasionally goes on commission with the military. She also still hasn’t made amends with her father yet.
Personality: Aeterna is usually curious and outgoing, though as a child, she was very self-conscious about her hair and eye color, and even attempted to dye her hair once with the help of her mother’s potions (much to the horror of her father). Aeterna harbors a deep passion and talent for magic, and is a very introverted thinker, but has a knack for voicing her thoughts at the worst time. She is honest and blunt, but can easily lie through her teeth- a bad habit she picked up from opposing her father so much, and speaking to stuffy, pushy elders on a regular basis. Because she was raised in a well-off family, she can handle social and political situations to a point, but has a hard time refraining from saying something catastrophic (though she’ll think it to herself). She’ll do many favors for people who ask them of her, but when someone tells her to do something, she’ll most likely ignore them and follow her own agendas. Aeterna is open-minded and hard to anger for the most part, but when someone pushes too hard she can be a force to reckon with.
